My Christmas plans.

My family and I are invited over to my Aunty and Uncles place to have Christmas lunch. I can't wait til that day comes. I haven't seen lots of my family since we have been in quarantine from August 2021. I'm praying that Covid-19 doesn't affect auckland from now til then. I'm also excited to see my cousins that I last saw when we went to long bay beach. I cannot wait for them to open and see their Christmas presents.

Kiwikids news.

In this lesson, I came to share my learning around the 'Blood moon'. My class and I read an article on Kiwikids news named 'Blood micromoon coming for New Zealand'. Then we did the tasks we were assigned which was answering the recall questions, thinking questions and write our rating for the article. Here are some screenshots from the work we did!.

Visual art.

In this lesson I wanted to share my art that I did with my class during 'Genious hour'. We drew a vase with a pair of oranges on the side of it. We sketched and shaded to make it look realistic. Johnathans mum was the judge of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. And I was lucky enough to get 3rd place!. Check it out!.

My yr8 year is coming to an end.

 2021 is nearly over and so is my school year. I graduate next week on the 9th of december 2021 (Thursday). It doesnt feel like it is November. So close to finishing. Can't believe it. My paragraph for my graduation profile is "I’m super grateful that I was moved into room 2. Best class. Ever." And my inspirational quote is "If you're ever feeling down, listen to BTS <3. -A"

Kahoot

 In this lesson, I created a kahoot based on Kdrama's and my 2 Favourite kpop groups. There are a total of 16 slides. I am using my kahoot for this thursday for student take over. I can't wait to present it.

Google meet

This morning, at 11am. Room 2 had a online google meet. My friend Sofaia had volunteered to takeover as a teacher. We did a spelling test and a spelling bee kahoot. I really enjoyed it! & I look forward for the visual arts google meet tomorrow.

Mathematics makes life easier Season 4 ep3

In today's lesson for maths, I did some fun problem solving. Bascially you had to find out what the numbers were that were hidden by the pictures, so that you could get your answer. There was a total of 11 slides that contained those fun equations. I still have one more to go, and I plan on doing that tomorrow. I hope you enjoy looking at the bright pictures.

Maths makes life easier Season 4, Ep2

 In this Mornings lesson, My class and I did a kahoot based around Multiplication basic facts. There were 20 Questions. I came in 1st place, Mrs Haioti came in 2nd, & Sofaia came in 3rd. We all got house points for our prize. I enjoyed playing the kahoot since it was with a bunch of people. (Sadly i dont have any phtos to show).  Thank you for reading.

Graffiti street story.

 Graffiti Street. 

As I was wandering down the damaged lonely streets, there was a chill in the air. 

Feeling alone and fed up with the world, not taking my career as an artist seriously. As I continued my stroll I came across an empty, plain and untouched alleyway. It looked like a perfect canvas for an art idea that was in my head for the past few weeks. So I went home happily, grabbed my art supplies (spray painting cans, brushes, newspaper etc. etc.) and started working straight away.  Then an idea of sharing it on social media came to my head. I took a few pictures of what it looked like before and posted it on the net.  After hours of working it was getting dark so I decided to go home, cool down, and dozed off. *the next morning* I woke up very happy as I had something to do, forgetting about the pictures I posted on social media. I started heading out and walked to the spot where I was starting the art piece. But I was confused why there was such a  huge crowd of people surrounding my unfinished artwork. I pushed through everyone to see what was going on. I had no idea what was happening so I asked someone, but they said “hey it's her/him” then they all started to cheer me on. I went to the front of the crowd and asked everyone to please let me know what was going on. They had finally let me know and said “you're the one who posted the pics of this alleyway right?” I answered “yes that was me” but still very confused. Then another one said “well someone walked past this alleyway and realised it quickly from your viral posts, so they took a picture of your art and posted it on social media”.. *I thought to myself what viral posts*. Someone then showed me and it had over 1 million views. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t expect it to blow up overnight. So I asked if anyone else was an artist or wanted to be one. And surprisingly, most of them said yes. I let them take a paint brush, paint, and spray can each and let them do their thing. But we had one problem, there was no name for the street. I couldn’t just leave it named nothing. So we all came up with the name “graffiti street”.*The End*

Hi. So 2 days ago I started writing a story inspired by the photo of pobble. its called Graffti street. I just wanted to show you my learning and how my story is going so far. I havent finsihed it but it should be done by tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy.

Inquiry Presentation.

Today we presented our inquiry presentation. My group and I wanted to spice things up a bit, so we created a  kahoot and read Mao's information report for Covid-19. After reading Mao's information report, we then asked everyone to get out their chromebooks so they could play the kahoot game we created. There were 11 questions relating to Covid-19. Everyone looked like they were having a little bit of fun. 

Here is what we created. all of the questions were based around Covid-19. Me and gene enjoyed creating the kahoot game. it was fun to actually create something online. 

 Museum Trip. 

On Monday the 28th of June, room 2 had a class trip to the Museum. We traveled by van which was a bit cramped. We arrived at the Museum, we grabbed our bags and walked up the stairs to where we were meant to be. We were escorted into a room where we could place our belongings and have a bite to eat. We were then introduced to our tour guide Aaron. Aaron had asked us to come in and sit on the matt so he can lay down the rules and hype us up for an exciting day ahead.  

Once Aaron had finished giving us our pep talk he lead us to the most interesting part of our history, The World War Memorial. Here we learnt about the different kind of wars over the years and how certain countires had an alliance which helped them achieve peace. The Spanish flu/Influenza Pandemic was touched on and how it had infected the soldiers while they were at war.  

                     

 

We were then lead to another part of the memorial, in here there were gold letters reaching from the bottom to the top of the wall with all the fallen soldiers names in alphabetical order. In the middle of the room there were at least 6 giant windows surrounding a circular tomb with many different country flags above it. Aaron had explained to the group that this tomb was in memory of all the fallen soliders that faught in the wars who use to reside in Aukland.  

Aaron had given us a well detailed explanation of how the spanish flu spread and the effects it had caused to the people during the war. Aaron had displayed  5 items infront of us under a red cloth/blanket; We all had to chose one of the 5  and find out what it was used for during the war. Sofaia and I received  2 pieces of paper, a box, and a rescue stretcher. We were then informed what they were used for and there purpose. The stretcher was used for wounded soliders, the box contained first aid medical supplies, 1 piece of paper had insructions on how to care for the patient and the other was a diagnoses note of there condition.   

After Aaron had completed his tour with room 2, we thanked him for the amazing experience and knowledge that he shared with us. 

Into the thick of it Into the thick of it boom..... The Earthquake house. The experience everyone wanted to be apart of and do, so we all headed down to the Volcano exhibition. We entered through a dark room with warm lighting. Most of us got ourselves comfortable and sat down. The tv turned its self on. We watched families being interviewed by reporters. traffic was bad, and families were worried. *BOOM* The house started to shake. *BOOM* there it goes again. A big wave was coming towards us rapidly, the trees were waving and the air was black.. 

 

And just like that, .. the earthquake was over. We exited through a bright hallway and out the door. We then parted and went our separate ways. My group and I stayed and obeserved more of the Volcanic related showcase. We got to feel how smooth and heavy the rocks were that came from the volcano.

I really enjoyed my time at the museum. There were so many more exhibtions to look observe. I had lots of fun.

                              Easter Weekend.  

Last weekend was Easter Weekend. We had almost a week off of work and school. 

On Friday, my family and I celebrated the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. 

We went to my nans house and had a BBQ, My nans family was there to also have a BBQ. 

My cousins that were there were, Payton, Leylani, and Kemora. We went to the park and made tiktoks, and also play on the swings. After 10 mins my cousin Kemora wanted to go home. We took her home and went back to play on the park. We made more tiktoks, played tag, and also played on the swings. About 2 hours later my mum texted to say to come back to have some dinner. We went back home and got our food and ate. After that we went back to the park and played until it was getting dark. when it was 6pm we went to the dairy and got a few snacks to last through the night at my nans. me and my cousins ate a little at a time, until it was time to go home. we got Mcdonalds on the way home, then went to bed.

New maths learning

Term 1 2021, I have learnt a lot of maths in my new class. One thing that I will describe of what I learnt is how to turn a fraction into a decimal. 
Strategy: you divide the numerator by the denominator, and then you'll get your answer here is an example.

you divide 12 & 10 and then you will get an answer of 1.2,
